Food + Fandom
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been that kid banging on pots and pans in the kitchen with Pokémon playing in the background. Fast forward to today, and Cooking with Chaos is the culmination of that passion: a space where food meets fandom and nerd culture in the most delicious and approachable way possible.
Early Days
During my YouTube journey, I originally set out to write a few cookbooks in a manga-style format. While I loved paying homage to my favorite fandoms that way, I realized we could do so much more and have even more fun with what a cookbook could be. That’s when a good friend of mine, Sarah, helped spark the idea for a card-style recipe system. This was back in 2021, and after years of progress, iterations, and a lot of experimenting, we’ve shaped Cooking with Chaos into what it is today.
Building The System
Cooking with Chaos didn’t start as the polished card system you see now. It began with me jotting things down on 3x5 note cards, making sketches, and refining every detail. Over time, it evolved into a modular recipe system designed to be flexible and intuitive. Just like in a restaurant kitchen where the same ingredient might appear in multiple dishes, Cooking with Chaos lets you mix and match elements to create endless meal combinations without the fuss of a traditional cookbook.
Making Cooking Easy
At the end of the day, Cooking with Chaos is about making cooking fun and accessible for everyone. We all love a good, wholesome meal after a long day, and this system is built to be as flexible and modular as possible, so you can just pick up a card and get started. Plus, the amazing Cooking with Chaos community has made the whole journey even more rewarding. We’re always evolving, always improving, and we can’t wait to see where we go next together.
